EMPLOYERS' CONFERENCE.
MAGISTRATE KETTLE THANKED. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, November 15. The Employers' Federation Conference resumed its sittings this morning. Dealing with Mr. Kettle's remarks in the- hotel employees' award, in Auckland, the conference passed a motion that Mr. Kettle, P.M., was entitled to the l:est thanks of the employers and workers alike for the plain, outspoken, and fearless condemnation of the labor agitator, and directed attention to the statement made by Mr. Justice Pring in Australia: "He lives on keeping up strife, and the sooner yon awake to the fact that this agitator who lives upon vniir hard carniuus is vour enemv ihe better for you." ' ft was decided to direct the attention of the Minister of Labor to the threats recent! 1 nun!" hv the president and secretary of the Miners' Federation, that should a shipment of coal lie made to Newest V. the miners will strike. The Employer"' Federation strongly protests against such a threatened action. A deputation from the conference is to wait upon the Minister this evenin r.
