THE KOONYA. The Koonya, from southern ports, did not arrive liere till about nine o'clock last night. She has 400 tone of cargo. The vessel leaves this afternoon for southern ports, via the West Coast. She will' take away from here 80 tons of scrap iron for Dunedin. THE ROSAMOND.The Rosamond has been detained at Onehunga owing to rain hampering discharging, operations. It was expected that she would get away last night and will not arrive here till 12 o'clock to i night. HARDWOOD FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The St. Kilda, the vessel which is to bring the first shipment of Tasmanian hardwood for the New Plymouth wharf- extension, is expected to load at Hobart during the coming week. HARBORMASTER'S REPORT. The harbormaster, Captain Hood, reported to the Harbor Board yesterday that during the month there had been 29 steamer berthings and one sailer at the wharf, the aggregate gross tonnage amounting to 27,122 tons. Imports were 5423 tons, including 832 tons of railway coal and 219 tons of private coal. Ex-' ports were 1241 tons, making a total of 6664 tons of cargo handled. During the four weeks there had been experienced moderate variable winds, except on Oe , tober 22nd to 24th, when very strong ■westerly gales and high seas prevailed, but with no delay to the shipping. The dredged worked six days, making 48 trips, removing 2880 cubic yards ,of sand and silt. After being for 18 days under repair, the dredge resumed work on Wednesday. He had installed an electric Morse signal lamp on a staff at the end of the wharf for flashing signals at night time.
