PETROLEUM NEWS.
Mr. Don Watson returned to New Plymouth on Monday morning, after having accompanied Dr. Bell as far north as Te Kuiti. A week was spent in the Mokau district, and in this time Dr. Bell covered a great deal of country. The stay proved an interesting and enjoyable one. As the oil launch, was not available, the party pulled up from Mokau to beyond the mines. In appreciation of this, the miners gave the doctor a hearty send-off upon his return. Thanks are due to Mr. G. H. Stubus for many kindnesses, also to Mr. T. Furlong and Mr. G. Ramson, who interested themselves' in the trip.
