WEATHER FORECAST.

Bates' summary and forecast:—A westerly low pressure has prevailed in the south for j nine days, with stormy weather at tiroes. Westerly winds, strong to gale, have prevailed south of New Plymouth and Napier, and fog and drizzle on the west coast of the South Tsland. - A southerly gale is also reported last night nt Cape Campbell. The present indications are for further fall in the •barometer everywhere, but a rise shortly in the south. Conditions arc also ominous in the far north. Rain is probe.bie everywhere: high northerly winds north of East Cape and Kawhia, and wistcrly gale, changing to southerly, probable elsewhere within thirtv hours, with cold snap and snow on high levels.
