NEW 7 ZEALAND RUGBY UNION.

Wellington, Last Night. _ The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met to-day. The committee considered the case of'a player who had been suspended bv the Marlborough Rugby Union for six months for allegedly using threatening behaviour and language to a refere\ The committee considered the eaee a particularly bad on e which had not been adequately dealt with bv the Marlborough Union, and decided to disqualify the player for two years from the dateot th e offence. It was decided to ask th.. Marlborough Union why an enquiry had not been held regarding othe.players (who left the field) mentioned by the referee.
Three members of tlie Athletic, Petone, and Melrose Clubs were expelled from the Rugby Dnion, having taken part in the Xorthern game. Notification of a number of disqualifications was received from N»\v South Wales Rugby Union. The Auckland Ttugby Union asked for ft eefinition of the position of a player there who had played under Xorthern Union rules but had not been reported to the governing authorities.—Referred rai'k to Auckland Union to make further enquiry and report. The New South Wales Dnion intimated that it understood the Queensland Rugljy Union was not at present in a position to settle its liability with the New Zealand Union incurred over the visit of the British team to Queensland. The New South Wales Union su*gested that the matter should iw brought directly under the notice of the Queensland delegates attending tho proposed conference of representative" of New Zealand and various States regarding matters affecting the game.--Consideration was deferred.
