In the mart a large quantity of pro dace and furniture was disposed of at satisfactory prices. Fruit. Consignments of Sydne" oranges and mandarins have come to hand this week and sold well. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Mart. —At the mart on Saturday we 'lad a very large entry of poultry, and pi ices 'were higher than at last week end. We quote: Hens, old 2s to 2a 4d, good young hens 2s 5d to 2s 8d; ducks, full grown 2s Od to 2s lOd, young do. 2s to 2s 4d; duckling's, six weeks Is 6d, one week 9d; cockerels, 2s 2d to 2s Sd. There is a ready market now for all classes of poultry, and good prices are assured. Following the poultry, sundries sold at late rates. Meat.—The usual sales were held on Saturday, and cheap prices ruled, as under:—Beef: Prime ribs 2>/ 2 d to 3y 2 d, iounds 2d to 2'/ 2 d, briskets and corning pieces Id to 2d, roasts l'/ 3 d to 2>4d, sirloins 3d to 4d, rump 2d to 3d.
