At the Police Court yesterday a laboring man named (.'orzelliik sued Aitken, proprietor of the ljerbertville Hotel, for .£'ls 18s Od, balance of moneys placed in defendant's lunula in advance for liquor nnd accommodation. After a lengthy hcarin<r the Magistrate gave judgment for £2O IDs, with costs £9 18s, Frank (ilecson was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for theft of twenty books from the Dannevirke Pull He Library.
