THE ROSE SHOW.
The secretary of the Horticultural Society, Mr. W. p. Nicoll, reports having received huge entries for Tuesday's rose show, t„ be held in St. Mary's Hall. As a largK number of growers expressed inability to make full entries owing to the uncertainty of the weather, tile conimttee has dceided to extend the time lor receiving entries until Monday, at ~> n.ni.
Messrs. Uiiiil «nd Sons, of Wanganul, hiive intimated their intention of briag' nig along a very large collection of ro<u for exhibition, aud as Mr. Weightman, of the Annhiiri nurseries, is coming mj to judge, he will probably bring an hibit with him. The two'local nnrseric. are preparing large exhibits. Th« niiltee has decided to erect extra tabic, 'or showing flowers other than roses.
