At Toko oil Monday, owing to the rough weather, there was only a small vuding of cattle. Yearling steers made 3tis, empty heifers £2 IDs Od, springing lieifers £5 12s Od to £5 17s fid, store cows £2 15s to £2 IDs Od, forward do. *3 4s 0:1 to £3 13s, fat do. £4 2s Oil to i' 4 5s Od, 2-year steers £3 13s, 3-year do. £4 13s.

At Stratford on Tuesday there was a full yarding of cattle of all classes; including the springing heifers, there were about 3000 head penned. Fruit—This has been in large eupply. Large consignments of imported lines have come to haud. Prices as follows: Oranges, Sydney, 9s 6d to lOe; mandarins 5s 9d to 10s, pineapples 9s 6d to 10s, bananas 10s 3d to 13«s Od, ripe to 15s, new potatoes 2 , / 8 d to 3d per lb, lemons (small cases) 2s to 3e/6d.

WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Mart. At the mart on Saturday we had a "big entry of poultry, which found a ready market. A sudden demand has set in for all kinds of poultry, and »vo can do with an unlimited number right on till end of December, and good prices are assured. On Saturday old hens made up to 2s 4d, good young do. and pullets 2s Gd to 2a Od, chicks 3d to Od, ducks (young and fat) 2s Od to 2s lOd, others 2*; 4d to 2s Od, cockerels 2s 4d to 2s Bd, ducklings one week old 9d, six weeks Is , 6d to 2s. Meat.—The usual sales were held on Saturday at 10.30 and 1 o'clock. Land Sales.— On Saturday we held several land sales on account of mortgagees and the Public Trustee. Several town sections wore submitted but failed to find purchasers. Stock.—At the yards on Friday we had a big yarding, and nearly every pen was cleared at the hammer. Bidding was brisk, and high prices ruled. Clearing Sale.-—At Omata on Friday last we sold all Mr. Morriii's live and dead stock. There was a good attendance, and prices were good. Spring cow: from £3 2s Gd (old) to £9 15s, springing heifer £4, store cow 3Gs, young bull £2 1 8s. breeding sow £.2 ss, pair bullocks CIO 15*. spring dray £ll ss, bullock do. CI I 15s, s.f.
