The Presti Cable Service Committee examined Mr. Collius, manager of Renter's Telegraph Company. He deposed that his company had a reciprocal arrangement with tho Press Association since 1801, under which nil foreign telegraine were placed at the disposal "f the Press Association in London, Router'#, in roturn, receiving a copy of thu Association'# Press messages sent to Australia. His company could «ell cables acre to any paper or association outside the metropolitan areas, and there wa<! no limit to the subscription chargeable. . The people did not want much more in the way of cables. A few might, hut the general run of people did not, though sixpence might lie a reasonable charge.
