GUNS VERSUS ARMOR.
INTERESTING EXPERIMENTS. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrighi London, November 2. Experiments upon the disabled warship Jena showed that guns beat armor in every instance, and proved that no i-essels were sufficiently protected .igainst the latest type of projectile; also that it was essential that the whole of the vessel should be uniformly protected.
French vessels are considered hotter protected than the vessels of other nations. The French warship Danton ivould float though dismasted, while the Dreadnought or the German Nassau would sink like the Nubian vessels at Tsushima if hit at the wnlerlinc.
