DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs. E. Grrifiiths and Co. are in receipt of tlie following market report from their London principals, Messrs. Mills and Sparrow, dated 17th September, 1909:

The weather has again been ver,r showery, but the temperature has risen considerably.

BUTTER. Danish hsfs "been officially advanced 3 .kroner; the Northern markets are all Aerv firm, and arrivals clear readily. Irish.—Both quality and quantity are falling off, but notwithstanding this prices arc a little higher. French.—There is a good steady demand, and no further alterations in price have been made. This butter now shows very goo;! value in comparison with other sorts. We expect the supply will fall oil' considerably after this month is out, and' we must then look for higher values.

Siberian. Arrivals this week have been much larger than last, totalling *n all 13,000 casks, so it is evident that the shortage last week was caused through some butters not arriving at the ports in time for shipment. The demand has been very good for finest, and there is a rise of about 2s per evvt the week on ths grade, lmt there is no advance to report on seconds. Colonial —Buyers are now beginning to show more interest, and there has been quite a-fair trade passing this wee* in stored goods, which have boon siM from 100s to 112s. Cable advices to bond report a shipment of about 0000 boxes thi* week per s.s. Morea. 0000 of wfeich, we understand, are from Melbourne, and the balance would be made nn from Sydney and Adelaide. No douM this will be nearly all new season's butter and this advice is very welcome. They should meet an excellent market.

CHEESE. Canadian—Trade this week has r oe< »ry slow, and prices are in buyei

Xew Zeahind Cheese.—The cheese cx s.s. Wakanui have not sold very readily, partly on account of their turning out rather soft, and partly owing to slow t'ade. The s.s. Kaikoura is now due. carrying .♦ few cheese, and wc hope the, will arriv- in better condition than those ex s.s. Wakanui.

SHEEPSKINS. The Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd,, have re ceived the following cablegram from their London h<»u<e, under date 28th ■nst.: —''Sheepskins. Fine crossbr'ds W.'c declined %d, and coarse crosslvreds ;wd clothing descriptions i/,d per lb "ince last sale?: other descriptions i/d ♦o V,,d per lb." •
