Tlie ground committee lias been recommended to close the courts on three days of each week for the. first iortnight. At a meeting of the general committee this week, a ground committee wus elected. A sub-committee was appointed ti> report «n I lie advisability of altering the present ladder system, draw up new rules, also a_ list of the proposed club matches fbr the season. Mr. J. Morton was a'ppoinied the club's de'egaie to the Taranaki Association. The committee"was in favour of hoilin« the annual Taranaki Championship ar.d handicap tournament at New Plymouth on January l, 3 and 4. CltoiiVKT. This afternoon the New Plymouth Croquet club's lawn will be open for play tiom two o'rlock. Players ale requested nut to wenr sharp heels when playing oi; the co.irts. The following committee has been elected: Mr-. Uhnidell, Mrs. Pit /.limber;, and Miss Denton, with Mrs. Mills as hon. set.
