'the ordinary monthly meeting of the above took place on the 18th insta-it, when there were present: Councillors W. A. MeCutchan (chair), E. B. Boberton, .1. M. Jones, R. McCluggage, T. Mcllroy, A. 'Meredith, and .T. E. Anderson.
The engineer's report was read, and it wis resolved that the County Buildings be erected in wood, in the general st/'c of the Stratford County Council's offices; that the engineer he authorised to carry into elicit liis recommendation concerning the AYhangamomona road; that the clerk write to the Resident Road Engineer to the effect suggested in the engineer's report; and that the engineer, be rcipicsted to expend CO or C 7 in improving the bad corner on Kohuratahi road as mentioned in his report.

It was resolved to call tenders, to clo.ie at next meeting, for metalling one mile on the Brewer road on account of the CISOO loan; work to be started from the Strathmore end. An amendment that tenders be called for half-a-mile as above was lost..
