MIXERS' CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. • Wellington, Oct. 23 The Miners' Conference discussed at considerable length the proposal that a scheme should be formulated to provide open resistance against any attempt to victimise men taking active'part in pushing the welfare of unions. The following motion was passed:—"That when the executive of any union considers thjre lias been victimisation and no satisfactory reason is given by the employer, such executive shall liave the right to sue in the Magistrate's Court, and if proved to the satisfaction of the magistrate that victimisation exists, the employer ehall be liable to a penalty not exceeding ;C50," fc
