Received October 22, 0.20 p.m. London, October 22. Wheat.—The market is dull,-with a weakening .tendency owing to less Continental demand and better report of crops'in (lie Argentine. There is little inquiry for cargoes. Australian Janu-ary-February shipments are offered at 38s 3d. Steamer parcels, January-Febru-ary shipment, were sold for Antwerp nt 37s Od to 38* 3d. There is a poor demand for Australian on the spot, which is quoted at from 42s (id to 435. New Zealand longbcrry 38s to 30s; shortberry fid less. Flour.—Market slow. Patent, 30s; spot London and on passage, 20s e.i.f. Butter.—Market quiet. Danish, 130s to 1325 1 . There is keen competition for small parcels of choicest new colonial \x Otway and Everton Grange. Salted realised from 110s to 118s, and unsalted 118s to 120s. New secondaries and stored are absolutely neglected, there being little prospect of any improvement for these at present, as the market is plentifully supplied with everything except the choicest. Cheese.—There is slow trade in New Zealand at about 55s to 50s. Copper.—On spot £57, three months £SB 2s fid, electrolytic £sl). Tin.—On spot £l3B. Lead, £l3 ss. Spelter, £23 2s 6d. Iron, 51s Id. Wool.---At Bradford merinos are weaker, but there arc better inquiries for sixty-fours at 2fid, and sixties at 25d. Cross-bred* unchanged. Sugar.—The market is quiet. German is quoted at 10s lid, and first marks 13s 3d.
