TRAFALGAR DAY.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. Trafalgar Day is being observed 'by dlspl:' s of bunting throughout the city. At most of the schools the teachers made remarks fitting to the occasion. To-night a dinner is to be held by the Xavy League. The Governor will he present. Tijiiaru, Last Xight. Beyond a large display of bunting', there were no other celebrations in' connection with Trafalgar Day. Incidentally the Tiinaru main school held a garden party, the chief item being an "j'impile march," of symbolic costumed groups. During the afternoon prizes were presented on behalf of the Navy League (Canterbury branch) to two pupils of the school, the successful writers of essays on the meaning of Empire Day. Wellington, Last Night. Trafalgar Day was celebrated by the Xavy league at n supper to-night. About two hundred leading citizens were present, and Air. AY. I'l'iiscr, M.P., presided. Speeches were delivered by his Excellency the (','overuor, Sir Jos.'pVi Ward ami llr. Foster Eraser.
