"PEOPLE'S DAY." By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hastings, Las't Night. The weather was dull to-day, with occasional light showers, but the attendance for people's day of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society's spring show was not affected, there being an extremely large assemblage of people. Following are additional results:— iGhnmnqunsj—Thoroughbred sire: Mr. A. Laing's '■ Glengowrie"; Jersey bull, J. S. Nelson's "Oculist 11"; hack, J. S. Williams' " Patca."
Points prizes were won as follows: Poultry section: R. R. Smith (58) I, Mrs. ,E. Baldwin 2. Silver Wyandottes: John Carrie (24). Black s ngle-comb Orpingtons: J. O. Thornton (10). The competitions resulted as follows: Wool classing: L. M. Espagne 1, F. J. Kelly 2, A. Dean 3. Sheep shearing (speed): lliaka Robin 1, Sam Hawkins 2, Pat Hokianga 3. Leaping match for ponies; W. Russell's "Sally" 1, R. P. Houghton's " Billy" 2, Sam Roe's " Batrie" 3. Turning competition on horseback: C. Giblin \, P. Drummond 2. Leaping match: C. Hart's "Plnvbov" 1, H. C. Hartley's •'•' Vendetta" 2, Stanley Bennett's "Toby" 3.
