Newell Arber, of Cambridge, wri*ing to the Times, expresses the hope that the section of fossil pine-tree retained by Professor David will prove a, more certain specimen of fossil flora than those brought home by members of the Discovery expedition" He adds that Professor Xatborst (of Stockholm) is publishing a paper dealing with the llowcr oolite floras discovered by the Swedish Antarctic expedition. The6o bear an extraordinary resemblance to the lower oolite flora of the Yorkshire coast.
