RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
A DANGEROUS CROSSING. HOUSE KILLED AND DRIVER INJURED. A serious accident occurred at the luihoiin road crossing, about a miie and a-half north of Stratford, yesterday morning. The cart was turned aside, and Mr. O'Connell, who was thrown out, was fortunate enough to escape with „ slight snaking. Had ] lc been n moment sooner at the crossing there is little doubt that he would have been killed. Beyond having sustained some slight damage to the brake gear the engine was uninjured and was aide to continue it journey
At several places between Stratford and Midlm-st narrow roads dip down to the railway line between high banks, so lorming crossings of a distinctly dangerous character, and it seems' to be high time that this matter wa« looked into by the Department.—Post
