POLAR EXPEDITION.
By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Ottawa, Oct, 18 Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Premier of Canada, speaking at a banquet at Ottawa to Captain llernier, of the steamer Arctie, stated that next spring the Arotla would lie titled for a Polar expedition, and that Captain Bernier would be given an unrestricted commission to go to the Pole, or beyond—wherev ir there was land to be claimed.
