A wieetins of the Tarannki Executive of the \ T ew Zealand Farmers' Union was held on Thursday. There were present: Messrs. J. W. Jones (president), J. Burseas J. U. Murray, J. Davidson, H. Lambie T. A. Bridge, and J. B. Sim (provincial secretary). Apologies for „on J attendance were received fro.n Voullaire. Maxwell, Thomson. Forsrith, and Atihusen. A number of replies were received from executives and branches endorsing the executives resolution, passed at a former meetins. in regard to the present system of land valuation and taxation. Mr. Sim reported that he had met the executive of the Ha'.vera branch and found that the branch was financially lax there •were some outstanding liabilities, with no funds in hand to meet them. On th» other hand, the branch had a large number of subscriptions in arrears and t.ie branch':- oseewtiv" decided to ask him to collect fhwri. —Star.
