WELLINGTON SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Prew Association. Wellington, Saturday. At the Supreme Court to-day a' young woman named Bertha Brown, chargvi with concealing the birth of a child, came up for sentence. Mr. Justice Cooper described the case as a very sad one, the woman being more sinned against than sinning, and ordered accused to come up for sentence when called upon. William Willis, against whom there were previous convictions, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment on charges of breaking and entering. A similar sentence was imposed on James McLean, charged with theft and forgery.
