London, October 16. Tin- Po»t Office has renewed the mail contract with the Orient Steamship Co. After February Ist steamers will not cull at Plymouth.
The British mail will be sent '0 Taranto, ill the extreme south of Italy, saving 10 to 18 hours to Port Said. The vessels will reach Naples early in the morning and stay until noon, and i then steam to Taranto.
