KAITUNA FOII NEW PLYMOUTH. The Union Company's tramp steamer Kaituna leaves Dunedin to-day for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington to load cargo for New Plymouth. She afterwards leaves for Kaipara and thence for Sydney. The Kaituna, which is a, vessel of 1977 tons, will be the second largest steamer to berth at Moturoa (the largest being the TaTawera, 2003 tons, which arrived here some time ago 'with a cargo of sheep from the South 'lsland). This special trip wi'l be very convenient to shippers, seeing that the Rosamond is temporarily off the Wellington-New Plymouth running. The Union Company is to be commended for its endeavors to meet the requirements of Taranaki merchants, a fact which is undoubtedly appreciated. It is not certain yet what day the Kaituna will arrive here, hut it should be hers about the middle of the week.
Owing to being detained on the West Coast the Koonya was a day late in arriving at Oamaru. OVERSEA SHIPPING. STEAMERS TO ARRIVE AT WELLINGTON.
