ATHLETICS.

NEW PLYMOUTH A.A.C. At a meeting of the committee of the I New Plymouth Amateur Athletic Club yesterday, it was resolved to apply for affiliation to the Wellington Centre, ■pending the forming of two additional clubs in Taranaki, when a Taranaki Centre will lie set up. It was decided, with the approval of the Recreation Sports Groirad Committee, to include four amateur running events on the spurts programme on November flth, namely, 100, 220 and 440 yards and Ihallniile. In all probability a race for High Schools lioys will also be included. As the club is in its infancy, the committee would be grateful to' supporters' for donations of trophies towards the prize fund.
