WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Mart.—At tie mart on Saturday we had an extra large entry of poultry. Competition was keen throughout, and the following prices were realised at the sale:—Hens, old Is lid to 2s 2d, young do. 2s 4d to 2s 8d; pullets. 2s 8d to 2s lOd; cockerels, poor Is lid to 2s Id, good 2s 2d to 2s lOd; ducks, 2s 2d to 2s 6d; ducklings, four weeks Is Bd, six weeks 2s; laying ducks, 2s Bd. Thc stile closed with an unsatisfied demand in all classes, especially for young ducks and gobblers. Ilea 1.--On Saturday we held our first two sales of meat, one at 11.30 and . ne at 1 p.m., which course is to.be adopted m future. Both sales were well attended, and the meat went a shade cheaper than usual, as under:—Beef: Sirloins Id to 4'/vd, ribs 2'/ 2 d to 3y s d, rounds 2d tc 3'/ ; d, brisket and corning pieces Id to 2'/oil, rump steak 3'/ 3 d to 4d, rougher joints I'/jd to 2'/ 2 d. Alutton: Forcquarters 2d to 3d, hindquarters 4d to 4'/>d, loin 4d to 4'/ 2 d. shoulder 2'/ s d to 3~d. Rabbits sold readily at Is 3d per pair.
Furniture.—On Wednesday we held a clearing sale in our mart on account of a lady leaving the district, when there was a large attendance of the public, every line olfeted being fi old under thc hammer.
Fruit.—This has been in small siipp'y during the week. High prices have iul"'d for all good fruit offered. Apples are due on Saturday. Prices realised:—Bananas, ripe 2d lo 2y 4 d per lb, green 2d per lb; Sydney oranges, poor 7s to bs, lemons, New Zealand-grown), 7s to 8s; peanuts. 3d per lb; green peas, 2s Oil pcpeck (very small quantity).

For next week a lesser quantity is expected. Colonial-There lias been a little trade passing on stored goods, and prices realised arc about 2s per cwt. higher.
