PRISON OFFICIALS SUMMONED. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrigai London, Octobef 13. l/)rd Alverstouc, Lord Chief Justice of England, Sir C. J. Darling, and Sir T. 1. Bucknill refused to summons Mr. Herbert Gladstone, Secretary of Staie for the Home Department, on a charge of assaulting Mißs Laura Ainsworth,"a suffragette, but directed the Birmingham Stipendiary Magistrate to grant a summons against the governor and doctir of VVinson Green Prison in order that the facts inigut be investigated.
