CONTROL OF SPORTS MEETINGS. ■l'ißf By Telegraph.—tress Association. Christciuuch, Last Night. A conference between representative? of the New Zealand Athletic Union and League of New Zealand Wheelmen was held this evening, at which a reciprocal arrangement regarding the control of sports meetings was decided upon. Details will l)e discussed at a meeting tomorrow. Subsequently the executive of lb; Athletic Union met and decided to relinquish control of piping and dancing events and the nfliliated centres will lie asked to endorse this action fnrlhivitn. It is hoped this action will result .'i more satisfactory relations li'.'in" established between the Calcdonijn societies and the Union. The annual meeti.i" and championships of the Union will 'no held in Greymouth in March next.

COUNTY OF TARAXAKI. AMENDING CLASS AND CREATING ADDITIONAL TOLLS. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the County of 'l'aranuki has amended classes ten and eleven of the scale of Tolls by deleting the words "or other" where" the same pears in the said classes ten and eleven And created a new class and fixed the following additional scale of Tolls to be collected at any Toll-gate erected or to be erected within- the County of Taranaki, as follows: For each Motor Lorry or Motor Waggonette drawing not more than three tons, with rubber tyres (each) .. ..050 Each additional trailer attached thereto, with rubber tyres (each) 0 5 0 Public Notice is further given that such additional scale of Tolls shall b°conie first payable on the first day of November, 1000, and continue in force until the same shall be revoked or altered.
