At a meeting of the Anglican Synod this evening, a long debate, which was finally adjourned till to-morrow, took place on the following resolution proposed by Mr. I). li. limit:—"J'liat the Synod is thankful to Almightv Clod for the increasing number of clergy in tho diocese, but deplores the fact that with tta increase has come an increase of high ritual in our churches. The Svn-id respectfully urges upon our Bishop and' all clergy that the real progress of the diocese and the cultivation of true Go 1liness can only be secured bv a close athereiiee to the principles of the reformed unirch of England, and an avoidance on the part of the clergy in their ministiatious and teaching of a. sacerdotalism remignnnt to those principles, even as it is to the hearts anil consciences of th J !iroil bulk of earnest churchmen .unoii" the l.utv," "
