INSURANCE ON-SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS' LEASES.
To the Editor. Sir,—l was very much interested 'u your report of the School Commissioners' meeting, in fact, I'm looking for that report every month, because it's only by you sending a reporter to this old Star Chamber that we get to know some of the ins and outs of tilings, Now, if there hadn't been a "Ncwb" reporter there all of us tenants would have received an edit to the ell'eet that "wo must insure our buildings, etc., in tlw Alliance Insurance Company just to enable live smeUvy to keep trace of the insurances." As for the insurance business, if ilk- j-wretavy can't keep proper trace of insurances that are due, just as solicitors and agents have to do, then he ought to resign and give somebody else a chance. Talking about tying us down to insure in his or any other ollice ii* rather a bit strong -when Von consider, ilr. Editor, that the improvements belong to the lessee and not the Board. Why then tie hiiu down? The secretary was very emphatic in stating that he was not "hankering" after the insurance business for his "own" ollice. Hits disclaimer of disinterestedness is hard to understand.—l am, etc., | LESSEE.
