By Telegraph.—Pre*? Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed north of Kawhia and Castlepoint with cloudy weather, but elsewhere mostly high westerly winds and rain have been experienced. The barometer has rein,lined low and unsteady in the extreme south but has fallen slowly elsewhere. The present indications arc for unsettled and cloudy weather generally, probably colder and showery in most parts, strong N.W. winds prevailing over the North Island and S.W. elsewhere, and changing to southerly everywhere shortly with a rising .barometer. '
