A MAX KILLED AT OTIKA. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrigflt Cliriatcliurch, Last Night, A terrible accident happened in Otira tunnel this afternoon, by which VV. Dick, shift boss at the face, lost his life, and three others named W. Hushton, J. S. Jones 1 and E. G. Amberrazzi were injured. It appeal's that the men were engaged in the first out at crib time, and had lighted some of the fuses and remained too long repairing others. The first shot exploded, killing Dick instantly, and the Hying debris stru.'i three other men, who were retiring, in the backs. Dick was a married man, and leaves a young wife and one Child.
