WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph.—Presw Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—The high pressure has continued • over the North Island, but a smart fall las taken place in tile South during the past 24 hours. Mod> erate westerly winds and fine wcathc r have prevailed in the North, and strong to gale from the same direction over the South. The barometer has risjn slightly at Bluff since noon, and winds have veered to south-west since then, but a further fall is expected and vain is probable south of Kawhia and Castlepoint with westerly gale. Unsettled weather and falling barometer, with freshening westerlies, are probable elsewhere shortly.
