I nitc vide matches, in which interstate I competitors are eugaired, commenced toI day in fine and cool weather. In the early stages of the Jubilee Match there '■ was some good shooting at the 800 yds range. Henries and James (New K*nlanders) and two local men secured possibles. The wind became puffy when the 700 yds was flred, and most of the previous scores were sadlr discounted. The practice of withholding detailed M'ores of the various ranges till the conclusion oi the last rang* makes it Impossible to obtain particulars till a late hour. Received 12, 0.40 a.m. Sydney, October 11. The Jubilee Match was won by Matthews, of Victoria, who registered 100. Two local men were second and third with 0!) and 08.
