Proposals were received from the Recreation Sports Ground Committee respecting placing amateur events on th* sports programme on 9th November, and a committee meeting will be held next week to arrange details. Several new memlters were elected. Endeavors are to be made to form clubs in Stratford and Hawcra, with a view to ultimately forming Taranaki centre of the Association.

A number of members of the Welling, ton Association would take part to assist the club along. It was resolved to ask Mr. 11. E. Kerr, of Tariki, champion walker of Australasia, to give an exhibition mile walk at the proposed sports meeting oii i)th November. ■
