EGMONT NATIONAL PARK.
Till' quarterly mooting tof thfc Egnmnl. National Park Board was held at Eltham on Tuesday. There were present: .Messrs'. Simpson, S. Percy Smith. W. A. Collis, J. I{. Hill, Wilkie. (looilson. A. 11. .Moore. The question of royalty on metal taken from the reserve was discussed at length. Large supplies of metal have been taken from the reserves and supplied to local bodies, but no royalty has been collected. Net ices have since been forwarded to tb,. lim'.il authorities concerned, butthey have refused to pay. A resolution was eventually passed that the board considered the Railway Department re-ponsible, and the secretary \vns instructed to write to that effect The Board made a special grant of ;CL! to the North Kgmoiit House Committee towards' Hie cost, of extending the telephone from Kainiiro. Routine business wns transacted, and accounts passed for payment. The next meeting of the board will b,. held at the Dawson's Falls House in December.
