TAKAXAKI WOOL, SKIX, 111DK, AXJ) TALLOW SALE. Mil. XKWTOX KIXO'S REL'OUT. On Tuesday, 28th September, I hell iny usual four-weekly sale of above produce. The catalogue comprised IJUJ hides. 103 vi-.irlinjjs, 11,008 calfskins, 25118 sheepskins. 17 bales and .17 sacus wool, 17 casks and 38 tins tallow, besides the usual assortment of horns, hair, tails, etc. In consequence of thbelter 'one of the market, wool and sheepskins advanced %d to Id per lb. Hides.— Values all round might be quoted on a par with the prices ruling at my last sale. Damaged and infer'ur hides were the only sorts that showed a slight decline. Calfskins again came forward ill large numbers, the quantity sold being close on 12,000, constituting a fresh record. These may also be quoted at last sale's prices, with the exception of a few special lines, which showed jn advance of lid to %d per lb, selling a3 high as 10>/ 2 d per lb. Tallow sold well at late values. The following will give I an indication of prices realised:—
