The Times publishes the text of Dr. Wallace's documents, which are the most interesting since Green's discovery of Shakespeare's will in 1747. The deed traces the history of the Globe ami Blaekfriara Theatres from 1599 to 1010. Shakespeare owned a fJcventh share of the BlacMriars Theatre, and a fourtenth share of the Globe Theatre. The total annual rent of the Globe was £l4l •>s The exact site of the Glolw is not where the present Barclay's brewery stands, as was generally supposed, but at the opposite side of Park Street, Which was called Maiden Lane in Sliakcsneare's time. Dr. Wallace States that the Globe, Itosc, Bear-Garden, and Hope Theatres were aIJ between Maiden Lane and the Banksidc. • Dr. Wallace discovered the documents ! in question amongst the records of a lawsuit.
