Tiic profits of tie' North German Lloyds Company for the first half of tho present, year, amounting to £250,000, were due to the increased receipts from the North American traffic. The current half year shows an equally good development. The Hamburg-Ameri<Mti line also did well. The profit for 14)09 is estimated at 4 to 5 per cent.
