LAND BALLOT.
A SUCCESSFUL BALLOT. A ballot for 33 sections in the Totoio block, situated about ten miles southwest of Te Kuiti and near the Mokau river, was held before the Taranati Land Board at New Plymouth on Wednesday last, September 29. Applications from "married and single men were received from all parts of the Dominion, !)0 applications being received from married men alone. All the successful applicants, however, are residont in th.e North Island, married and landless. A further ballot for sections in the Rangi, Piopiotea and Tangitu survey districts will be held this month. Particulars of the Totoro ballot arc as follow:
