POUND DYING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchureh, Last Night. WitTnnn Moore, n man about 50 venrs °f age, employed by E. R. Sutherland, baker, as a driver, was found lving bv his cart in Shirley road at 10.5 this morning in an unconscious condition. Moore was removed to a neighboring house, where he (lied shortly afterwards" The cause of death is not known.
WOMAN'S ATTEMPED SUICIDE. Christclmrch. Last Nignt Alicmt nine o'clock lust evening a married wnintin named Lvdin M. Dixon. residing with her husband at HiMs road, Richmond, was admitted to the hospital suffering seriously from the. effects of poison administered by herself. It apiieared she hud been experiencing trouble of a domestic character lately, and last ewiring she drank a bottle and a-half of "rough-on-rats." Her father-in-law, upon discovering the fact, communicated with the police and a doc'or, who ordered the woman's removal to the hospital. She appeared to be in great pain, and screamed violently and continually, both while being conveyed m a cab to the hospital and after admission. To-day she is reported to be a little better, and it is anticipated she will recover.
