TROUBLE IN TENNIS CIRCLES, NEW ZEALAND ASSERTS HERSELF. By Telegrai h.—Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. Australia and New Zealand have iow come to a deauTock over the Davis Cup contest. 'There has been considerable correspondence between the two governing bodies since the resignation of New Zealand from the Australasian Council. Now Zealand gave way on several points and there wa« every prospect of the breach being theaWl. Australia, however, was not satisfied, and insisted that New Zealand must rejoin the Australasian Association. This New Zealand has declined to do. It, is stated that unless some arrangement li come to within the next few days, the New Zealand Association will probably take uteps to enforce its claim.
