HON. MeKENZIE AT FEILDIXG. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Feilding, Wednesday. The Hon. R. McKenzie, Minister "for Public Works, went to Apiti yesterday to open the Marton Block bridge over the Oroua river at Apiti. He received an address of welcome from the residents and was entertained at a banquet by the Apiti Chamber of Commerce. Mr. D. H. Guthrie, M.P. for Oroua, introduced a deputation in regard to local requirements. The Minister thanked the people for their welcome and said he noticed the splendid appearance of the country. Although he had been all over the Dominion reeently, this district was in a better condition thau any he had yet seen. The Minister returned to Feilding in the afternoon and left for Wellington.
