It is announced in New York that Samuel Roberts, treasurer of Armour's will shortly become vice-president of the National City Bank, whereof Ogden Armour is already a director. This is interpreted as't'ne beginning of the movement on the part of thi Beef Trust to obtain control of the At ■ gentinc's cattle-raising and beef-produc-ing industries, and to secure loans, as £he bank is one of those associated in the plan for the establishment of a panAmerican bank with branches throughout Central South America.
