The Christchurch Meat Company have decided to withdraw from the Ta'ranaki pig trade, The llawera bacon factory, which has been shut down fo r sonic time, will be rc-opencd shortly. Messrs Walker and Nicholson, late of Woodvillc, who have had long experience in the bacon business, have taken a long lease from trie company, and will commence operations in n few weeks' time.—Star. Agents met directors at Hawera on Tuesday, and as a result of the negotiations the Melrose Company decided to consign the neason's output, advance without recourse, to Messrs Lovell and Christmas. The llawera Company has postponed a decision until the 18th Oe tobev, but in Ihe meantime the output will be sent Home on open consignment to Messrs TTenry A. Lane and Co! The .Mere Mere also met agents at Hawera on Tuesday, TTlil did not conic to any decision.
It is stated that the Midhirst Daby Company has placed its season's output under offer for three davs to Mes'srs Colletl and Co., Cardiff', Wales, at lid.— Eltham Argus. The Kairanga Dairy Co. is consb-ni'i" is season's output through Messrs"Cob lelt and Co. The Inglewood Company met yesterday but no decision was arrived at. ?
