During the discussion at tile special meeting of the Harbor Jioard on l l 'ridav last, .Mr. \V. T. Jennings, -M.L'., suggested that the Board should take part ill forming a Chandler of Commerce iu Waitara. He found that the Cabinet paid more attention to requests' coining from such a body, and such institutions .iad been established iu niiieh smaller and younger towns than Waitara, with satisfactory results.
There was not a very large muster of volunteers at the church parade on Sunday morning. The volunteers mustered 2S rank and iile. with Lieut. Klenner in charge, and about 2S cadets under Lieut. Wilkins. The Waitara .Municipal Hand was present in strong force under deputy-bandmaster Skellon. and headed tlie procession to St. .John's Church. After service the -band played the hymn " Nearer my Clod to Thee." There was onlv a moderate attend ante at the Druids' euchre party and (lance oil Friday evening. Those present, however, had a most enjoyable time. The Indie,' prize was won by Miss llellier and the gentlemen's by .Mr. T. Jones. The music for the dance was supplied by Messrs Sampson and Tanered.
