Cardinal Moran announced that he would outline a scheme of primary education that would harmonise Catholic principles with the State publje school system. This would he based on the system Inaugurated n few months ago in Holland, where secular education was on very much the same lines as here. An address wn« read from Cardintl Gibbons (Archbishop of Baltimore) dealing with the expansion of the Church in America.
A lengthy historical paper, reviewing the situation in Ireland for the past 100 years, was received from Mr. J. E. Redmond, M.P. Dr. Cleary (editor of "The Tablet," Dunedin). read a paper on some grouid work principles of religious educatioa.
