COACH FOR CANTERBURY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Tlie Canterbury Cricket Association, at a meeting tonight, received the following cable from Buckingham, of tlie Essex Chili, who had been selected as couch for the season:— "You have not ranged passage, according to agreement. I have accepted Africa and can substitute Hayes." It was explained that nil arrangements possible had bcc.i made here, but a hitch occurred with the steamship agents, either in Sydney or in Australia. After considerable discussion it was decided not to gut a coach from England this season, but to procure one from Australia.
