It was first authorised in 1878. The first contract ■was let in 1883 and the rails laid two miles in 1900, but one Sunday a gang cf platelayers set out to the locality, wid tore up the rails and sleepers. Ile railwav is 14 miles in length and opens up good agricultural land and mining treas. The approximate cost was £SS,000. The Minister govs North to-mor-tow.
